about BIJOU

BIJOU AND THE TRAPDOOR IN THE FLOOR was written in the style of classic Victorian-era children's books.

It was published in 2017 with Archway Publishing from Simon & Schuster, and is available online & in stores worldwide.

This is the tall tale of a young girl who hears the mysterious beat of a drum coming from beneath her bedroom floorboards. When Bijou follows the Tree Dweller's drum through the trapdoor in the floor and into a magical world below, she discovers all manner of curious characters & creatures as she ventures toward the Queendom to free the fallen Wishing Stars from the Queen's tall tower!

If you liked the 2023 Disney film WISH,

readers will love the original 2017 story BIJOU AND THE TRAPDOOR IN THE FLOOR!

what's NEXT

The author has been working on a new story for four VERY BUSY, VERY FULL years, and is currently querying the work to literary agents.

This new contemporary work is very different in style from the niche book BIJOU. It will be part of a seven-book Middle-Grade series, and is written in the quirky but warm style and voice of the author, similar to Roald Dahl, Neil Gaiman, and David Williams.

She will publish further works under her NEW combined maiden-married pen name. STAY TUNED!
